Easter 2012

Happy Easter!
Little Man was pretty excited for Easter. He remembers candy and hugging the Easter Bunny from last year. We always have our "Bunny Easter" on Saturday, so that we can focus completely on the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday. Little Man was super excited about all the fun new toys. Mikey LOVED finding the eggs the Easter Bunny hid around our house.
One of the videos (that was too long to post) of him looking for Easter eggs he stops in the middle of picking up eggs and says "Oh no I forgot to say Thank you to the Easter Bunny!" That is so Mikey, he is such a a polite kid many people comment on it. (That being said he is still a typical 3 year old boy he just tends to say please and thank you in between tantrums and truck stealing.)

He was super excited to have this Golf set. We will see how long it is before the clubs turn into swords. No, we do not generally dress up for Easter but Mikey received super hero shirts from the Easter bunny so of course he wanted to wear one and his cape (from his birthday) to the church Easter egg hunt. (We had many questions about if we dress up every year hahaha!)
When we arrived Mikey was in distress that the "Easter Bunny" from last year was not there. I tried to pass this real bunny off as the Easter Bunny but little man didn't like that idea. Although he did admit that this bunny was "SO CUTE", one of his favorite phrases.
So you can probably imagine his excitement when "The Easter Bunny" showed up. Little man literally could have cared less about the candy and eggs. He kept asking if he could follow the Easter Bunny around.
I finally convinced him that he should look for eggs instead of following the Easter bunny and he was pretty happy doing that as well.
We were SO SO SO lucky to have a sunny weekend for Easter. After Church we went on a walk to enjoy the rare sight of sun! Of course we had to stop and look at the digger. We saw a wild Bunny and enjoyed all the blossoms!Little Man keeps wanting to go hiking, but with all the rain it has been too muddy. I thought there was a small wooded path between two neighborhoods close to us that I suggested we try going on.
Lets just say it turned into a crazy bush wacking adventure (not really a leisure Sunday walk ooops) Mikey kept saying "This is scary!" but we made it out safe and alive!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter!
